About the author.

Originally from Bradford, West Yorkshire. I’m a former History graduate and current MA Sports Journalism student at Sheffield Hallam University.

I currently work as a Football Analyst for Opta, the worldwide leader in sporting statistics, and have been a member of their staff for just under a year. During my time at the company I’ve analysed teams in the English Championship, J-League (Japan’s leading football division), the Chinese Super League, the Norwegian Tippeligaen, the Turkish Super Lig, the Scottish Premiership, the Swedish Allsvenskan, French Ligue 2, the U18 English Premier League and a wide range of international qualifying matches for the 2018 Russian World Cup.

As well as working for Opta, I’m also a Data Reviewer for EA Sports. In this role I help the company with their statistics on the player database of the FIFA gaming franchise.

Further to my personal blog, I currently work as a content writer for both ‘Bantams Banter’ and for ‘Width Of A Post’ a blog based on Bradford City football club.

Regularly the #1 sports podcast on iTunes, Bantams Banter has over 5,000,000 downloads and counting. For the webpage I write all match previews regarding Bradford City’s first team and also contribute opinion articles when I can. The Bantams Banter website receives over 65,000 views per month so my work is read by a substantial audience.

I’m also a regular contributor to Width Of A Post, a football blog concentrating on Bradford City football club with over 2,000,000 views. For the site I produce articles ranging from match previews and reviews to opinion articles.
